Your lettuce looks lovely!

I, too, grew up in a gardening family, and now we garden as a family. My husband had heart surgery 5 weeks ago and the kids, my mom, and I are planting the garden without him. It's been good for me because he usually does the planting and we all do the harvesting. Now I'm getting excited about seeing my plants flourish! So far we're eating asparagus and spinach (but those are things he took care of before he had surgery).

I'm new to your blog and love it!

I have absolutely NO idea how to garden :( I have some space, but I'm not sure I could ever keep my doggies out of it. I think I'll stick with flowers this year, lol!
