Meal Planning Monday

I am really looking forward to getting back to cooking this week. I have several new recipes that I want to try and several old ones that I have not made in a long time. I plan on doing quite a bit of baking this week also. I want to make bread at least once and also cinnamon rolls. I also need to make peanut butter cookies because they are used in the crust for a pie I am going to make. I am trying a new cinnamon roll recipe. I hope that is will be a more healthy version of a cinnamon roll.

This week is also my husband’s birthday and he requested steak for dinner and peanut butter pie for dessert.

Here is the menu plan:


eggs and toast

granola and yogurt

yogurt and cinnamon rolls


cottage cheese and breakfast muffins


egg salad sandwiches




bean burritos

broccoli soup and bread

chicken sandwiches, potatoes, and vegetables

chicken barley soup and bread

chicken and bacon lo mein

black bean pizza

steak, bread, and salad, peanut butter pie for dessert

  7. Nancy, I am tweaking a beef lo mein recipe to make it with chicken. I will post it if it turns out well.
