I am not really sure what to call this recipe. We call it ground beef stir fry, but it is not really like stir fry. I adapted a recipe I saw several years ago to come up with this version. I changed a few things around to make it easier and more to our tastes. It is a not traditional Asian dish. It more of an Asian inspired dish.
We really like this. It is quick and easy. Plus it is also a low cost dinner to make.
Ground Beef Stir Fry
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped (or use all green pepper)
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 large cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger root
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup beef stock
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- cooked rice
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook and stir the ground beef until evenly browned. Drain, and set aside.
- Heat several tablespoons of oil in the skillet over medium heat. Stir in the red bell pepper, green bell pepper, garlic, and ginger. Season salt, and pepper. Cook and stir until tender.
- Return the beef to the skillet. Mix in the beef stock, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook and stir until slightly thickened and heated through.
- Serve over the cooked rice.

I actually made something similar a couple of weeks ago and was surprised how good it was. Thanks for the recipe!
I think I’m going to try this for dinner tonight. Thanks for sharing the recipe!
I hope you enjoy it. And thanks for the reminder of it. I have not made it in a long time and need to make it again because we love it.
