I have to say after tryin whole wheat pasta it was a hard switch, but then we went without pasta for like 5 months & lo n behold that wheat pasta wasn't soo bad :P. We've also tried some that are in between 100% whole wheat pasta, the barrilla 50% is pretty good & the enriched pasta in the yellow box is too. The enriched usually has a higher ratio of fiber to carbs then the 50% whole wheat, if you look at that. When we have the in-laws over they all love the enriched stuff, didn't even know it wasn't regular pasta :).

I have to say, I have tried tons of brands and everyone balked. Then I tried the very same brand you show and everyone approved. Its great too because even cheaper stores sell them (like Save a Lot and Walmart).

Dear Lynn,

I love your blog! I never did really find a brand of whole wheat pasta that we liked, so I started using whole grain brown rice pasta and we love it. Can't tell the difference between it and regular pasta. It's great. I usually buy Tinkyada brand.

Whole wheat pasta is all we eat too! My husband has never complained and says he can't tell the difference. My children have never mentioned it either so thats a good thing. I have been using it for quiet some time though and even when I am in a pinch and have bought the white and then change back they haven't said anything..so I am not going to tell them thats for sure! must be too that we drown it in sauce?!
Love your blog thanks for all the great recipes!

Several years ago we tried the whole wheat pasta and just couldn't stomach it. For some reason it is more palatable and we enjoy it now that we use whole wheat for everything - flour, pasta, rice, etc.

we love it around here!

when we made the switch when I was a little kid, my mom mixed half-and-half just like you! My sister preferred that and it was a nice way to ease the transition.

I use whole wheat pasta and my kids are only 2 so they don't seem to mind it, but my husband doesn't like it. The thing I get the biggest complaints about is brown rice.

We have tried and tried and just can't handle it. We stick with the regular kind and occasionally if I'm luck enough to have time homemade. We also like spinach pasta real well.
