@Sarah DeGroot, Thank you for sharing that information. I usually use a small cookie scoop so I have never figured the exact amounts out. I am sure others will find that helpful.

I just made these for a Christmas cookie party. I was suppose to bring 2 -3 dozen, but the recipe didn't say how many it made. This is what I found out. If you make 1 inch diameter balls they turn into 3 inch large cookies, and the recipe will make about 2 dozen sandwiches. I really like the 3/4 inch balls (about 1 1/2 teaspoons) and it makes a nice medium size cookie like the ones pictures above. The key is make your balls very very small and you will come out with nice size cookies.

I had to tell you what fun it was to make these. I was waiting for this recipe to be posted. The only thing was that after it was posted I relized that I did not have the devil's food cake mix. So, I checked my cookbooks for a recipe for devil's food cake mix. The only ones I could find were to make the actual cake and I did not think that was going to work. Finally, I found a brownie mix recipe, in was in one of these batch mix books they also give you recipes to use these mixes. One of the recipes for the brownie mix is chewy chocolate cookies. So, I ended up using that recipe for the cookies and they turned out really good. So much so that my husband and children were eating them as fast as I was making them. And I still have alot of brownie mix to make more.
