The good thing about rice is that it does not really go bad as long as you store it well. :) My husband used to eat rice with milk and a little sugar in it all the time. It is a nice easy, frugal, breakfast.

I love rice, but boy-howdy that's a lot! LOL You could always add some in some in soup while it cooks, make rice pudding, rice pilaf (one of my fav's and very simple), stuffed cabbage, list is endless. Ooo rice for breakfast is good too, little bit of milk, butter and sugar. I luv'd that as a kid. My grandmother use to make some type of rice dish that was put in a mold. Good luck and I look forward to your rice recipes :)

This looks yummy! Looks somewhat like a dish I've had at an Indian restaurant called queema biryani. I will probably have a better chance of getting my kids to eat your version than the biryani one, though! Looking forward to trying it out.

I've done that, too. Not with rice but I have bought huge quantities thinking it was a great idea only to wonder what was going through my head at the store.

Thanks for sharing this at Slightly Indulgent Mondays!
