It is great in chocolate milk, if the sauce is warm or at room temperature. If the chocolate sauce is cold from the fridge it is too thick to stir in. My kids love it in chocolate milk.

Do you think this would work in chocolate milk or would the milk need to be warm?

It is very much like ganache. I think that is what makes it so good. :)

I don't have a microwave. I'll probably just heat the cream and corn syrup in a sauce pan to boiling and then follow the rest of your directions. Seems similar to how to make a ganache. Sounds delish and so easy!

I googled "great fudge sauce" and yours was the first to come up. This is what I want, great taste and easy! We have an ice cream social every winter and I bring the hot fudge, my old recipe takes a lot of stirring and although the taste is fine, it never seems to thicken. Am making this today, thanks!

@Penny, Thank you for letting me know that you liked this. I love hearing how my recipes turn out for my readers. It is always great to be able to make something from scratch that we can not find in the stores where we live. And this one is great because it is so easy to make.

Another great recipe that turned out fabulous. I live overseas (The Netherlands) and have been struggling to find a good old fashion hot fudge sauce recipe, because the bottled kind does not exist in Holland. This was so easy to make, I'm excited to make it for all my expat friends as gifts :)
