I think the “white trash” name refers back to a version of chex mix called “trash”. My aunt and uncle made “trash” all the time. But I agree that “snow buddies” is a much better name!

I’ve not come across this cereal candy treat before. I love your name for it. The first time I had Muddy Buddies, the name I was given was puppy chow. I was much happier to find Chex’s name years later.

Great recipe, remember eating this on holidays during my childhood. Ours was made with pretzels adds that bit saltiness that goes great with chocolate. will be making this for my family this year.
