To add to everyone else's comments - you can sign up to receive weekly emails about the week's upcoming show. Of course, they also send you the emails about specials for buying their products (like the DVD with the purchase of the cookbook).
Many of the recipes are available, but as everyone else has said, the ones that sound the most intriguing require a membership. The cook books look really interesting and I'll take your suggestion and check to see if the library has them.
Perhaps you could find them at Half.com for a little less?

Earlier this year and at least last summer & fall, you could access all of their seasons on their website. Last July was the first time I went on there to try. They just changed it to their current season in the last month or so.

I don't have this one but I think I'd love it. We're big ATK/CI fans.

The maple-glazed pork tenderloin from this season is DIVINE. It is so, so good. And the bacon black-pepper drop biscuits from last season (I think) are excellent, too. I make a triple-batch at a time and freeze.

I really like America's Test Kitchen as well, the show and the cookbooks. I don't own any, but I've checked them out from the library many times. I'm going to see if my library has this newest cookbook!

This cookbook is awesome! I recently started watching the show on PBS, and my sister told me about this book. Every recipe that I have tried is now a family favorite! I look forward to winter when I can cook a lot more without heating up the house. Also, on the website, you can look at the current season's stuff without having to pay for it. This includes watching full episodes online!

I love their show and cookbooks.. if you order the book from PBS they throw in the DVD set for free.. I have not bought it yet.but that is what they say on the commercial.. When I have enough saved I will order mine.. Seems the hints to hubby on what to get me for my birthday have been going on deaf ears !
