Gluten Free Nut Free Snacks

It can be very challenging to find gluten free/nut free snacks and desserts that kids enjoy. Not only are they hard to find they are expensive to buy.

I have found the best solution is usually to make them at home. By making it at home I not only save money, but I know that it is safe to eat.

Caramel Chex Mix is a favorite snack in our house. My kids love it when I make this.

Another snack that my kids enjoy is Chocolate Covered Crasins. So easy and so good!

Fresh fruit, yogurt, cheese, and even dry cold cereal are some of the healthier snacks that we eat often.

What are your favorite gluten or nut free snacks?

  1. I’m the only Gluten-free one in my family but, I’m always looking for snacks that I can eat with the family. These are great ones! The chocolate craisins look yummy. :)

  2. We make homemade chex mix — and trail mix {chex, dried fruit, chocolate chips}!

  3. Totally not healthy, but caramel corn. I also make a double corn and fruit mix we like, but you’d have to leave out the peanuts; it’s a cereal, fruit and popcorn mix that is tasty and you could alter it in many ways. http://www.floradawn.com/cooking/2010/02/21/double-corn-fruit-mix/

  4. Most of gluten free products available in the markets are not 100% gluten free and they are very expensive . So I agree with you that we should make gluten free meals at home instead of buying from outside.
