Today in Oklahoma we have light rain and temperatures in the 50′s. After a summer of record heat and drought, fall is a welcome relief.
Nothing says fall food quite like apples. They are a sure sign that cooler weather is on the way. And since I have fall on my mind today, I thought I would share a few of my family’s favorite apple recipes.

Apple Bread Pudding (This would work well with gluten free bread)

Caramel Apple Cake ( and my gluten free version)
Caramel Apple Bars ( I am so going to try these gluten free this year.)
What is your favorite apple recipe to make this time of year?

I love to cook and bake, and it is a good thing, because my family loves to eat. I live with my husband and three kids on 43 acres in Northeastern Oklahoma. Between homeschooling, helping in my husband’s dental office, working on our property, taking care of three dogs, and raising hogs as a side job/hobby, I am constantly on the go like most of you.
Apple Crisp! Although this year, we’re going to try homemade caramel apples. Delish!
I’m so excited that we are coming into apple season again. We will be going to an orchard in the next few weeks. All of these recipes look great! I’m going to try the GF caramel apple cake, for sure.
I actually made applesauce in the slow cooker yesterday. It was delicious!
