My husband loves steak. He would eat it several times a week if our budget allowed for it. I, on the other hand, could probably go the rest of my life without eating steak and be just fine.
It is not that I do not like steak, it is just that it is not my favorite meal. There are many things that I enjoy more than steak. And yes, I know I am strange.
Usually when I cook steak I just do a simple grilled steak with a little oil, salt, and pepper, but occasionally I like to change it up a little.
An easy way to change it up is to marinade it. A few months ago I was sent some of Holland House’s cooking wines. One of the bottles was cooking sherry. At first I was not sure what I was going to do with the cooking sherry, but I have had fun experimenting with it.
I recently used the cooking sherry in a marinade and we loved it. It added so much flavor to the steak and it really grilled up nice.
