Twenty Homemade Granola Recipes

If you are looking for some new breakfast ideas I have twenty ideas for you today.

Homemade granola is one of those breakfasts that is great to keep on hand for busy mornings. Making a batch or two of homemade granola over the weekend will give you plenty of quick and easy breakfasts for the week. And we even enjoy it as snacks.

Homemade granola is easy to make and you can control what goes into it. You can make it a little healthier if you like or go with something a little more plain. You can even add chocolate to it to make it special.

Making your own also works great for those dealing with food allergies and issues because you can make it work for you and what you can eat.

I love to change up my homemade granola with all kinds of variations because then my family never feels like that are always eating the same thing over and over. We love to serve it with milk or yogurt, but it also makes a fun and healthy snack eaten dry on its own

Today, I am sharing twenty different homemade granola recipes with you. I hope you enjoy experimenting and coming up with fun versions that your family loves.

  1. I’m eating granola w/ vanilla yogurt right now! I’ve never tried making my own, but I definitely plan to try a couple of the recipes that you mentioned.

  2. Thanks for the links, Lynn! I LOVE granola, and as you know – the only way to go with food allergies is to make your own. The other granola recipe we are loving is a sweet potato or pumpkin spice granola — it’s great with craisins tossed in!

    • I also should add – I love granola with milk, ice cream & yogurt — depends on the time of the day for me. Milk in the morning, yogurt for a snack and ice cream for a dessert. I also love it mixed with applesauce in the fall.

    • I have been making my own granola for years, but it was not until we had so many food issues that I started getting creative and trying so many different versions. So, I agree homemade granola is great for food issues.

  3. Great list!! Thanks, Lynn. :-)
Granola with vanilla yogurt is the only way to go!

  4. Thank you for this post. We are granola lovers as well. You are my go-to-girl when I need a recipe! Thank you for all the time, effort, and work you put into this blog. I appreciate you and am always looking forward to your next recipe.
Blessings to you and your family…

  5. I am making my own yogurt, first batch right now. my daughter likes granola mixed with her yogurt, so I think we will have to try one of the recipes you have listed. 5 or 6 of them looked really yummy, so I will have to have her look and see what she would like. thank you for posting so many to choose from.

  6. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I am gluten intolerant and I have been searching for granola recipes since I can longer eat my morning cereal with my girls. I can eat Chex, but granola is way more versitle with the GF Oatmeal. You made my day. So excited to make these recipes!

    • I am so glad you enjoyed the recipes. Homemade granola is so easy to make and is a great gf breakfast using gf oats. I hope you find some new favorites.

      • I used to have a recipe for waffles that had homemade granola in it. They were wonderful. I don’t have it any nore. I assume you would just substitute granola for some of the flour. Any idea how much would work? Some of these recipes would work well in waffles. Great collection.
