Hickory Farms, Traditions, the Holidays, and Giving

Hickory Farms is a name I know many of you know and love. For many families, including mine, Hickory Farms and the holidays just go together. I am sure many of you have either given, or received, a gift from Hickory Farms over the years. And many of you have fond memories and traditions the involve Hickory Farms gift baskets and boxes.

They offer so many products, in many different price ranges, so there is something for everyone. From party planning to gift giving, they have it covered.

One of my family’s favorite Hickory Farms products has always been their summer sausage, so I was not at all surprised to hear that Hickory Farms Signature Summer Sausage was recently rated the #1 Summer Sausage in America, winning the Masters of Taste Gold Medal for Superior Taste, in 2011. A lot of people agree that their summer sausage is good.

I have enjoyed working with Hickory Farms and have learned a lot about this company. They go beyond just their summer sausage, meats, and cheese products. Hickory Farms is also focused on giving back and sharing with others.

As part of a a partnership with Share Our Strength (SOS), Hickory Farms is giving back. For each Party Planner gift box sold this holiday season, Hickory Farms will donate $5 to Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry Campaign. And Hickory Farms also has a partnership with Operation Gratitude – a national nonprofit that creates care packages for military men and women and their families.  Both of these are great campaigns and a great way for Hickory Farms to give and share.

When you are thinking about holiday gift giving, especially for that hard to buy for person, consider Hickory Farms and their Party Planner Gift Box.

Do you have a favorite Hickory Farms product? I would love to hear what it is.

I really like summer sausage. I recently received a large homemade deer suumer sausage — oh, my it is good. Reminded me of the superior taste of Hickory Farms. We usually received a gift box every Christmas and I always cut slivers off the sausage each day I came home from school hoping no one would notice its shrinking size.
