Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Blondies

Gluten free can and should be good. I know I have said that before and I will probably say it again, but really gluten free doesn’t mean it has to taste bad. And recipes like these gluten free chocolate chip blondies help prove that.

These are the perfect combination for a chocolate chip bar type cookie and they are so good that no one will know they are gluten free. Really you need to give these a try.

  1. Thank you! I love that there is no buttermilk or more than 2 eggs. It makes it doable for people that are also egg-free and dairy-free because we can sub the eggs and butter out. :)

Just wanted to come back in and comment that I made these brownies over the weekend, using Earth Balance to sub for the butter and tapioca starch to replace the cornstarch. Since my allergy eaters can have eggs baked in things, I didn’t sub the eggs out. But I still think it would work with an egg replacer too. It was delicious!! Even my teenager son wolfed them down, and he can eat gluten. Thanks so much for this recipe!!

    • Thank you so much for letting me know. I love hearing that kids and teenagers enjoy my gluten free recipes. They are some of the pickiest eaters, so when they love them you know they are good. And when they can have gluten and still love them it is even better!

  3. I just made these and they look amazing. The batter tasted wonderful. I can’t wait til they cool down enough to cut into them. I know I’ll be making these again. Thank you!

  4. Had a craving for blondies and whipped these up quick. Very easy and the taste is very good. I was in a hurry and put them in a 10×15 instead of a 9×13 so I reduced the cooking time a bit. Do they turn out more gooey in the 9×13? I just LOVE gooey blondies!

    • Yes they would be gooier, if that is a word :-) and thicker in a 9×13 pan. You could also decrease the baking time a little and that might make them gooier. I am glad you enjoyed them!

  5. I LOVED this and so did my gluten-eating friends! I cut the amount of chocolate chips in half and I think next time I’ll cut down on the amount of vanilla, however.

Just put a batch of these in the oven. Waiting to see how they turn out. Sounds so good and my husband needs some sweet for his lunch for tomorrow. (He has such a sweet tooth) Plus, my gluten free son and I will love these. Anything chocolate in this family goes by great!
