Mom’s Creamy Lemon Pie

Mom's Creamy Lemon Pie-

This recipe for creamy lemon pie is one I shared in the early days of this website. It was actually during the first few months. Blogging has changed a lot since then, especially when it comes to pictures. So, I knew it was time to update this family favorite lemon pie recipe.

Mom's Creamy Lemon Pie_

This pie recipe comes from my mom and we all love it. She has been making it for years. It tastes great, but what I love most about it is how quick and easy it is to make. This is a dessert that takes about 5 minutes to put together. You cannot get much quicker than that when it comes to dessert. It does have to set up in the refrigerator for several hours, but the actually making of it is so easy.

If you need a simple dessert to make this weekend, this is a must try.

  1. That pie sounds amazing! I love icebox pies and I love lemon. Definitely making it this weekend. If it goes over well, I’ll also make a few for our school choir’s annual dessert banquet.

  2. I bet this would be good with frozen orange juice or pink lemonade or limeade. Going to make this this weekend.

    • Yes, pink lemonade and limeade are both really good! I love the limeade version. I have never tried the orange juice, but yes that would work as well. Now I am going to have to try it with orange!

  3. This pie sounds delicious, Lynn. Thank you (and your mom) for sharing it with us. I was curious as to where you have found a gluten free graham cracker crust. I have never seen one and really don’t care for the gf graham crackers out there to make my own. Do you think a regular pie crust would work well? I like the GF Pillsbury brand.

    • This was a gluten free predone cookie crust. I am going to review it in my gf section soon. I had mixed feeling about it when I used it. I think you could easily use gf animal crackers like you would for a gf graham crust or yes use a prebaked regular pie crust. I think it would work well also. I have not tried the GF Pillsbury crust, but need to. I have not seen it at the grocery store, but will have to look for it.

      • Thanks so much for your quick response, Lynn. Using animal crackers is a great suggestion. My local stores carry the GF Pillsbury crust in their dairy section and I love it. I have made cherry pie using it and some amazing date tarts. It’s a great time saver.

  4. I love this recipe then, I substitute 1/2 of regular milk for evaporated milk, flavor and texture is enhanced. I am gonna try to change granulate sugar for condensed milk, making the milk portions 1/3 parts.
