  1. I’m curious about the texture of baked oatmeal. I’ve only made it once and made a 9×13 pan. It was still pretty mushy inside. Is it supposed to be? It’s quite possible that I didn’t bake it long enough. If I make it in muffin form, will it set up and be fairly solid? Thanks for the info!

    • Was it one of my baked oatmeal recipes that you thought was mushy? Usually with baked oatmeal you can decrease the liquid slightly or cook it a little longer if you want a more dry texture. The muffins are thicker, but I don’t think they are mushy either. Again you could adjust the time or liquid slightly. You could also make them in muffin form, but don’t fill the muffin cup all the way full and they would be a smaller muffin and would probably have the texture you are looking for. I hope that helps.
