Note: This post is sponsored by Udi’s Gluten Free, but all thoughts and opinions are my own. Peach, banana, and berries combined together with coconut milk make for a delicious smoothie. Smoothies are one of my favorite treats during the summer. They are full of fruit, easy to make, and can easily be changed up with what fruit is in season. They also work perfect […]
Ice cream is a dangerous thing in my house. It is dangerous only because I can’t leave it alone. An open carton does not last long at my house because I could eat it everyday. And multiple times a day. However, the older I have gotten the more I know my limits when it comes to ice cream. I can’t eat it everyday and if […]
Today for my Cooking Through My Collection series I am excited to be sharing my friend Jessica’s new cookbook. Jessica and I met in 2010 at a blog conference, but I feel like I have known her much longer than that. Jessica and I both started websites about the same time. I am really not sure how we found each other’s sites, but Jessica and […]
Today’s recipe for my Cooking Through My Collection series comes from Top Secret Recipes Unlocked. I discovered the Top Secret Recipes series years ago when I saw the author interviewed on television and I have loved the series ever since. The warm weather months are the perfect time for smoothies. A creamy and cold smoothie on a warm day is the perfect breakfast, lunch, or snack. This creamy orange smoothie is one I made recently when I really wanted a smoothie, but I did not have much for fresh or frozen fruit. It was quick and easy to make and we loved it.
Whenever I mention the fact that I often make a large batch of smoothies ahead and freeze them in containers to use for quick breakfasts, or lunches on the go, I get asked about the containers that I use to freeze them in. Freezer smoothies are one of my favorite things to keep in the freezer. I love my homemade smoothie mix and also keep […]
It is pretty obvious by our weekly menu plan that we love smoothies. We usually have them several times a week for breakfast and lunch. I love to make different versions of smoothies and I almost always have freezer smoothies ready for times when we need them, but I will admit that I have bought those convenience packs of smoothie mixes that you find at the grocery store. […]

Well, today I have yet another copy cat recipe for you that is based on an Orange Julius treat. Today’s recipe is not orange though it is raspberry. Homemade Raspberry Julius are just as easy as the Orange Julius version and just as […]
This pineapple orange smoothie is one of my kids’ favorite smoothies. My daughter and I love this with a banana or two added, but my other daughter and son prefer it with no banana. Either way though, this is a smoothie we make and enjoy all the time. This is also a smoothie that we love to freeze and use throughout the week.
We eat a lot of smoothies. They are a quick, easy, and healthy addition to a meal and also make a perfect snack. Earlier today I posted about freezing smoothies, so I wanted to also post the recipe for one of our favorite smoothies to make. Now, I know some of you are probably thinking, a recipe for smoothies? Well, yes actually I often follow a […]
