Lemon Fruit Salad

February 25, 2010

Fruit salad, I have always wondered if it is a side dish or a dessert. It seems like some people consider it one and some the other. But let’s leave that debate for another post and talk about the reasons I love fruit salad.
Fruit salads are great because they are easy and always popular. Kids [...]

Olive Garden Style Salad Dressing

September 24, 2009

My sister was recently telling me about a salad dressing recipe that she had made and really enjoyed.  She had found it in the food network magazine. She also told me that she really likes that magazine. I think it is becoming one of her favorite cooking magazines. She gave me several other recipes that she has [...]

Sour Cream Potato Salad

July 21, 2009

I really like potato salad. I think I always have.  My husband on the other hand enjoys it occasionally, but it has never been his favorite.  After we had been married for a while, I figured out why he did not like it all that much.  He hates mayonnaise or Miracle Whip.  It is one of [...]

Homemade Croutons

November 10, 2008

Last week I tried a new recipe for 100% whole wheat bread. It looked like a good recipe but it was a little different than other recipes that I have made. I decided to give it a try. I wish I hadn’t made it, it was terrible. It was heavy and flat, kind of like [...]

Snickers Apple Salad

October 20, 2008

My kids love this salad. It really should not be called a salad. Anything that contains Snickers candy bars, really can’t be considered a salad. It is a dessert. But it is a quick, easy, and really yummy dessert. And the word salad in it makes is seem…..healthy.
Snickers Apple Salad
5 or 6 granny smith or [...]
