Just a comment about the buttermilk e-mail. You blew me away when you stated that the dried product is the real thing versus what is in the store. My Mom used to have a can on hand in case of emergencies when she baked her homemade breads. She’s been gone 13+ years and in fact found a can when we cleaned out the house. I have her bread recipes including some that call for buttermilk and using the dried product appears to be the better, more tasteful way to go. Next time I go to the store, will pick some up. awesome info!! thank you. aj olson

lynn,
have you tried the peanut butter oatmeal using egg replacer? my son is allegic to egg whites. i know that if you bake something over 350 degrees, it kills the protein that he is allergic to. but, i still like to avoid eggs if at all possible!

Lynn,

Another blog I read has lots of easy gluten free recipes. It is http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/ Her youngest daughter has Celiac, so the whole family eats gluten free.

Just thought you might find it useful!

Just thought I’d let you know that I shared your story about Christmas giving when you were growing up with our family of 6 during our devotions this week. Everyone was truly touched & appreciated your story. Thanks for sharing this.

Hi, Lynn
I just found your site this evening and I just love it, I’m not a blogger or anything like that, so this is the first time I’m actually posting. But I fell in love with your recipes, they are so easy to follow and the pictures are a big help.

Lynn Reply:

@lizzi, I am so glad that you enjoyed my site. I try to cook and make recipes that everyone can enjoy.

Thanks for the cold pound cake recipe ! I saw it on Americas Test Kitchen (tv)and when I went to their web site to get the recipe I found out I’d have to join and pay for it. What a rip off ! Pay for a recipe? Never !! I searched for cold pound cake recipes and came across yours. Thanks you so much, it is the exact recipe. I won’t be watching that tv show anytime soon. Oh, and the cake is great. Peggy
