Chicken Skillet Dinner and A Giveaway

GIVEAWAY ENDED

I was recently contacted about trying Tyson grilled and ready chicken. I thought it sounded like a product I might use and enjoy because it would help make a meal quick and easy to put together.

Yes, I could cook and freeze my own chicken, and I do that sometimes, but this grilled and ready chicken would be perfect to keep on hand for really busy days. I could easily use it for chicken sandwiches or just in a salad. This chicken could be used in many different ways.

My family really enjoyed this chicken. We were quite surprised at how good it was.

I will admit this chicken is a bit expensive. It is not something I would use all the time, however is still much cheaper than eating out or buying most other convenience type foods.

I  have ten coupons, each good for one free bag of chicken. I am giving away one coupon to ten of my readers. The giveaway will end  Tuesday April 20th, 2010 at 6:00 pm. US residents only please.

Now for the recipe.

I had originally planned to use this in a salad, and I think it would work well for that, but I was not in the mood for salad the night I had planned on using this.

So, I came up with a quick and easy Mexican dinner. Having the chicken already cooked saved me a lot of time. My whole family enjoyed this.

We ate this warm, but I think you could easily eat this cold and it would be more like a chicken and bean salad.

I was provided a $50 giftcard to cover the time and ingredients for this post, but these are my own opinons and as always I am giving you my honest opinion.

  71. I would love to try this chicken there are a couple of nights a week that we have music lessons and I’m always looking for something quick. Thanks

  72. You know my dirty little secret is that for all of my ‘freezer cooking’ and ‘making from scratch’ I have a couple of frozen convenience items I love to have on hand for ’emergency meals’ which means:
I don’t want to cook, I haven’t prepared anything ahead, I forgot where the stuff was in the freezer that I’d planned and it’s LATE and I’m TIRED and they’re STARVED!

One of these is tyson breaded chicken tenders – the troops are satisfied with them and I can cope with them – but I was interested to see that tyson now had a grilled version – sounds like a better solution!

  73. Tina Riley says:

This would be great to have on hand for summer salads.

We all lead busy lives, even as a stay home mom I could greatly benefit from having these on hand! Especially since my husband works evenings, its hard to put together dinners.THANKS!

  80. I’ve been eating more chicken lately, but cooking for one means using the oven isn’t really very efficient, and my toaster oven doesn’t heat very evenly. This pre-grilled chicken might be just the thing!

  81. Wow, a free meal! Who wouldn’t love that!

  82. i WOULD LOVE TO TRY THIS CHICKEN PRODUCT!

  83. kathleen says:

  87. These look great. Grilling is one thing I have not tried to tackle yet because my husband enjoys it so much. But these would be great on those rainy days where he can’t get outside and grill.

  88. I, too, wouldn’t normally buy this unless I had a coupon and it was on sale. It would be sooo convenient, though, to have on hand! I would love to try it!

I would love to try this too but like you said it’s expensive however could come in handy on an extremely busy day.

  100. susitravl says:

I love to cook, but don’t love cooking and deboning a chicken, so buying boneless chicken that is already cooked is GREAT. I use it in so many recipes, but my family’s favorites are Hot Chicken Salad in the cooler months and Curry Chicken Salad on Croissants in the Summer.
