Candy Cane Frosting

See those chocolate cookies with the pretty candy cane frosting?

This candy cane frosting was so good and it turned a simple chocolate cookie into a festive holiday dessert.

These chocolate candy cane cookies were also one of the easiest desserts that I made for our Christmas party last week.

All I did for these was take my basic cake mix cookie recipe, and left out the chips.

I also made them smaller than I usually make them and used a small cookie scoop so they would all be uniform. I then frosted them with candy cane frosting.

It is amazing how a little homemade frosting can take a basic a cookie and make it special.

This frosting would turn any chocolate cake, cupcake, or sugar cookie into a quick and easy Christmas dessert that everyone would love.

Lynn's Kitchen Adventures

  1. This is such a neat idea! I just went to the Cheesecake Factory and had their Peppermint Candy Cheesecake (heavenly!) I will definitely have to try this recipe for the holidays!

  2. Lynn, this looks FABULOUS! I love chocolate and peppermint together! 🙂

  3. Ohhhh… yum. I love this idea. I love mint so very much!

  4. That sounds sooooo amazingly delicious! Last year for my oldest dd’s birthday, I made her a white cake with candy cane filling (it was similar to this, but had mascarpone cheese instead of cream cheese). I’m just about to make peppermint bark dipped pretzels, but I may have to save some of my candy canes to make frosting too….YUM!
