Quick and Easy Rolls

A reader recently reminded me about my quick and easy 40 minute rolls.

These rolls were a recipe that I posted over two years ago. Many of you have emailed me or left comments over the last two years about how much you love them, so I thought it would be a good time to mention them to my newer readers.

I love these rolls. They are so quick and easy to make and are a great recipe for those new to bread making. If you have never made bread or rolls, these are a great place to start.

They are also perfect for those that do not have a lot of time to bake bread and rolls. These diner rolls can be made and ready to eat in less than one hour.

This recipe not only makes great dinner rolls, but it work perfectly for homemade hamburger buns.

I really do love this recipe.

  2. We love these too!!

  3. Kelly Irene says:

Thanks for re-posting this recipe! I would not have known otherwise, and they look delicious (and easy)!

  4. I just made these last night, and we loved them, they were so good and easy to make!

  5. Thanks so much for reposting this recipe! I used to have a similar one from my ex-sister.in.law and lost it.

I’d like to thank you also for the wonderful Breakfast Ebook! It’s so very kind of you to share.

  6. For this recipe do you use quick rise yeast or regular yeast? I’ve only ever used the packets of quick rise yeast. Is a packet 1 TB? help! Thanks so much in advance.

    • @Casey, I use regular yeast for this. I have never used much quick yeast, but it might work in this recipe. One package of regular yeast equals 2 1/4 teaspoons. I hope that helps.

  7. Made these rolls on Friday night. We’ve found a new favorite! Thanks so much! They are great! My only regret is that I didn’t have a gluten-free roll to pull out of the freezer for my daughter.

I’m going to try to make these larger for hamburger buns next time.

    • @Cheri, I am so glad that you enjoyed them. I miss them since going gluten free. I tried to tweak this recipe and make a gluten free version, but it did not turn out so well. However I have not given up and am still working on it. 🙂

      • @Lynn, I just use the same recipe that I make her bread with and put it in muffin tins to make rolls. Try that with your favorite bread recipe. 🙂

  8. Jennifer says:

I made these rolls to go with my salmon patties, and they were wonderful! I used all white wheat flour and the rolls were quick, soft, moist, and tasty. Thumbs up! Thanks for the recipe.:)

  9. Yum! Bread and easy? Two of my favorite things! Thanks for sharing.

  10. Thank you so much! Great dough, fast and easy… just what a stay at home loves!

  11. I love your site and I am going to try your rolls! My question is you list both flours is that for 2 different rolls or do I use both whole wheat and white flour in the one recipe? Thanks

    • I used both and it works well if you want part whole wheat. You can easily use all white flour though if you prefer. I hope you enjoy them.
