Souper Monday Review and A Break From Souper Monday

Today for Souper Monday I thought I would highlight the soups that we have covered over the last few months. I also wanted to let you know that we will be taking a break from Souper Mondays for a few months.

I love talking about soup and have enjoyed sharing soup recipes with you every Monday for the last few months, but with nice weather coming I thought it would be a good time to take a break from Souper Monday.

I am one of those people that love soup, but mainly in cooler weather. To me soup is just not as good in July as it is in December. I do plan though to bring Souper Monday back in the fall. It has been a fun series to do and I look forward to doing it again next fall and winter.

Here are the soups that I have shared over the last few months.

Canadian Bacon Soup

Pizza Soup

Coconut Milk Asian Soup

Slow Cooked Shredded Beef Chili

Crock Pot Bean and Sausage Soup

Oven Pork Chili

Crock Pot Corn Chowder

Sweet Potato Soup

Asian Meatball Soup

Egg Drop Soup

Southwestern Ground Beef Stew

Crock Pot Carrot Soup

Taco Chowder

Copy Cat Chicken Enchilada Soup

Crock Pot Stew

Easy Crock Pot Chili

Now I am curious do you eat soup all year or are you like me and prefer it mainly during the cooler weather months?

  1. Lisa Buchanan says:

I love soup but live in the HOT HOT south – so rarely enjoy having it in the summer. It is wonderful in the cool and cold months of fall and winter though!

  2. We do soup less frequently during the warmer months and the soups change. Chilled soups, gazpacho and tortilla soup are favorites for warmer weather.

  3. I’m so with you, it’s already to hot for soup here in Tx. Maybe a Salad Monday to replace the soup. Super sides Monday. It’s the side dishes that often give me the most trouble. I have no trouble with main course or veggies usually, it’s the other go withs. Course that could just be me….lol Have a lovely weekend and thank you so much for your blog. I love it.
