Gluten Free Product Reviews

I took a few weeks off from sharing some of our favorite gluten free products, but I am glad to be back at with with some great finds over the next few weeks.

Today we are talking about Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free Granola .

Let me start by saying that this is not a sponsored post. I was not paid to write this. Bob’s Red Mill did send me a few packages of their gluten free granola to try, and this post does contain affiliate links, but I would not share about this product if I did not truly love it and use it.

Also, if you are a long time reader of my site you know my family loves homemade granola. We still love homemade granola. In fact my daughter made a triple batch of it just last week.

We also know that there are some great gluten free granola out there. It is just hard to find one that we can have. Udi’s makes a really good one, but even their nut free one is made on the same equipment as nut products so my daughter stays away from it. It is a great option for those that are gluten free though.

So gluten free granola is out there, but finding one that we can have with all our food issues is tough. When I found out Bob’s Red Mill had a new gluten free granola, that was also nut free, I was excited to try it. (Please read my nut free disclaimer at the bottom of the post)

Now you might be asking why I was so excited to try it when we make homemade granola all the time. The answer to that is convenience. Although we do make homemade granola all the time, we occasionally run out and don’t have time to make it. We also love to take granola with us when we travel. Again we sometimes make our own, but being able to buy some for a trip will be so much more convenient.

Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free Granola

The two flavors of Bob’s Red Mill gluten free granola are honey oat and apple blueberry. Both of these were great and I am hoping they come out with more flavors. The texture is a little different than most store bought granola, but it is very similar to Bob’s Red Mill granola that I remember having before I went gluten free. Basically it has the texture of a healthier type granola.

We took this granola on our recent trip to Oregon and it was so nice to have. It gave us a safe breakfast or snack anytime we needed it. And it tastes great. We ate it served with milk, on top of yogurt, or on its own.

If you are looking for a gluten free granola this is a great one to try. My family gives it 5 out of 5 stars.

Now for a quick disclaimer on it being nut free. This is where the whole nut peanut allergy debate gets a bit sticky and controversial. This granola is nut and peanut free, but there is a disclaimer on it about it being manufactured in a facility that also uses tree nuts. All I will say on this is please do your research, talk to your doctor, and do what you feel is safe for your family. You may make a different decision than my family did as far as this being truly nut free or not.
