I usually write all about food, sharing recipes, kitchen tips, and ideas to make life in the kitchen easier. However, today I am guest posting over at Balancing Beauty and Bedlam, sharing a frugal home decor project that I recently tackled.

If you would like to see a little about my life outside the kitchen, head over to Balancing Beauty and Bedlam.

Those are right up my alley, Lynn! I made all my curtains out of the inexpensive and classic off-white muslin. Some are traditional style and slide on my wooden curtain rods and some are tab style. I still love them a “million years” later. I know I’d love the drop cloth ones for certain applications, too. Thanks!

I’m loving those curtains! How clever. I don’t know what rock I’ve been hiding under, but I haven’t seen these done before. I’m totally considering putting these up in my home. We also live on acerage and haven’t had curtains for that reason – and because they’re so expensive. Yours are gorgeous!

@Melissa, Thanks! I am so glad that you like them. They really were inexpensive and easy. They are not perfect as drop clothes do have flaws in them, but for the price it worked great. And no one can really see the imperfections unless they are closed. 🙂

    Lynn,
I was just catching up on your blog. I love these curtains. I “made” curtains for my living room from flat twin sheets I got on sale.
For color, it could be something as simple as throw pillows or changing the shades on your lamps
