Seasoned Black Beans

by Lynn

We love black beans. I cook more black beans than any other type of beans. I use them to make my homemade refried beans, but I also like to take plain cooked beans and season them to serve with other Mexican type meals.

Beans and rice are very inexpensive to serve, but lets face it, they can be very boring and tiring served on their own.

The good thing about beans and rice though is that you can easily add flavor to them. On their own they are plain and simple, but by adding just a few ingredients you can really change the flavor.

These seasoned black beans have become one of my favorite ways to serve beans. I like to serve them with my Cilantro Lime Rice.

We love beans, especially black beans. This recipe reminds me of Cuban food in Miami.
