Pineapple Orange Smoothies

This pineapple orange smoothie is one of my kids’ favorite smoothies.

My daughter and I love this with a banana or two added, but my other daughter and son prefer it with no banana. Either way though, this is a smoothie we make and enjoy all the time.

This is also a smoothie that we love to freeze and use throughout the week.

Lynn's Kitchen Adventures

  1. I was seeking green smoothie inpsirationg this morning, Lynn. I think I’ll make a dairy-free verison of your recipe using coconut milk instead of yogurt, with the banana, and then add in a handful of mixed greens. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Yum!
These sound great! I just read the title out loud and even my picky breakfast guy got excited! Thanks for the idea and recipe. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. A touch of lime would work with this one, though kids might not like it as well. I’ll bet it would also make a delicious popsicle if frozen!

  4. Courtney S. says:

Question: If my blender/Magic bullet do not seem to effectively chop up all the ice when mixed with the ingredients, do you think I should try blending the ice BEFORE adding the other ingredients for better consistency?

  5. I like the idea, but why does this sound like sugar attack? All the ingredients except for ice have massive amounts of sugar in it. Hail to the diabetes epidemic!

  6. Louise Jacobs says:

I was surprised that this recipe had juices. When I first read the name, I thought it would either have orange slices or pineapple chunks. Not the juices from them. In fact I think I will make it out of mandarin oranges, and pineapple chunks, and put almond milk, and bananas, yogurt (vanilla), and leave the honey or sweetner out.
