Fifteen Favorite Family Meals

Toni is doing a series on Menu Planning. She did a post today on coming up with your family’s favorite fifteen meals. I thought it would be fun to go ahead and post my family’s 15 favorite meals. I hope it gives you some ideas for your dinners.

And I am curious do you menu plan? If so how do you do it? Do you have a master list you always go to? Do you just search the internet and cookbooks? Or do you skip menu planning and just decide each night what you will cook?

Here are our favorites:

Pizza

Hamburgers

Tacos

Chili

Chicken Taco Soup

My kids would say breakfast for dinner

Mexican Pizza

Pepperoni Rolls

My Version of Panera’s Broccoli Soup

Enchiladas with homemade sauce

Fajitas

Taco Salad

Mexican Rice, quesadillas, and refried beans

Baked Spaghetti ( I need to post this recipe soon)

Steak, bread, and vegetables (this would be my husband’s favorite meal)

Great list! I’d love to see the recipe for the baked spaghetti. I’ve had something like that at a restaurant before and it was delicious!!

I have little time for menu planning. I need the plan to come together quickly. FlyLady’s idea appeals to me of having a rotation of 7 meal basics. (For example, Monday, meat; Tuesday, chicken; etc.) This helps over-busy moms get started in planning. See https://www.flylady.net/pages/FlyingLessons_ControlJournal8.asp for more ideas.
