Strawberry Desserts

by Lynn

Summertime means berry season, and our favorite berry is the strawberry. My kids love this time of year when fresh strawberries are available.

Here are a few of our favorite strawberry desserts.

Strawberry Pie

Strawberries and Milk Cake

Strawberry Mousse

Strawberry Mousse Trifle

What is your favorite berry to enjoy this time of year?

Everything looks great Lynn! Strawberries are on their way out down here – it’s all about the local blackberries and blueberries for us right now!

Hope you’re having a great weekend.

@Mary at Deep South Dish, My blueberries are going crazy right now. I have been freezing them all week. I hope to have blackberries in another couple of weeks. Growing up in OR we had strawberries until the 4th of July at least then blueberries and blackberries , and raspberries in July. The berry seasons really vary across the country.

@Mary at Deep South Dish,
I’m jealous, blueberries are my favorite (well, they are tied with strawberries!) Do you have any good blueberry recipes?

It’s strawberry season here in the Pacific Northwest, but I really love raspberries. Your desserts all look great.

Strawberries and raspberries right now. My kids LOVE blackberries but I don’t do a lot of baking/cooking with them.

@michal, I know most of these are from my pre gluten free days. I have so many recipes on my site, that are good, but that I can no longer have. A lot of my readers are not gf so I do link to them occasionally. I do still make the strawberry mousse, and I have a gluten free pound cake that turned out really well that I hope to post in my allergy section, lynnsrecipeadventures.com, in the next few weeks. We eat strawberries over that. The pie could be made with a gf crust, but I am still working on perfecting that one. Which has been difficult. I hope that helps, and stay tuned I plan to post more and more gf recipes in my allergy section. I have been baking a lot. :)

I may just have to try that strawberries and milk cake. I am using up some strawberries this week. I posted a strawberry bread recipe today. I made strawberry scones this morning. Strawberries are my favorite!
