Chocolate Custard

This chocolate custard is one of the richest and creamiest desserts that I have made in a long time.

Seriously, this chocolate dessert is really good. It is also really easy to make.

Chocolate custard is basically a baked chocolate pudding that has a little different texture than a regular pudding. It is also a bit different than a normal custard because it contains chocolate.

So, if  you have tried custards before and not liked them, this is a version that I think you will enjoy.

I liked this served on its own, but it is also good served with a little whipped cream on top.

  5. Now, that looks so good! I remember chocolate custard made by Gerber Baby Food. My sister and I loved when my mom would give us a jar of our baby brothers’ custard. I am sure this recipe will be so much better than that was! Thanks!

    • @Carry-ann, Ramekins are the little white dishes shown in the picture above. Basically they are oven proof small dishes that are about one serving size. They come in different colors and sizes, and also come in glass. Places like walmart and target carry them as well as other home goods type stores, but you really can use anything oven proof. If you have a small coffee cup that is oven proof it will work. You can also make this in a larger casserole type dish, as long as you can still do the water bath method with a larger pan. You would just have to adjust the cooking time and it might change the texture just a little cooking it in a larger pan. I hope that helps.
