Bacon Cheddar Dip Recipe

Bacon Cheddar Dip

You really can’t go wrong when you combine bacon, cheese, sour cream, and cream cheese all in one recipe!

I make this bacon cheddar dip several times each year over the holidays and I never can get a picture of it. Every time I make this dip it is gone before I can get a picture. I guess that is a sure sign of a really good recipe.

I also get asked for the recipe every time I make this, which is another sign of a good recipe.

I was determined to get some pictures when I made it recently for my husband’s office Christmas party.

Bacon Cheddar Dip

This is one of those recipes that I have made for years. It is our favorite chip and dip type recipe. We all love it. I mean it has bacon, cream cheese, and cheddar cheese in it, what is not to like about it. (And I said it was good, not healthy. 🙂 )

It is great with chips or crackers. It can also be mixed together and heated in a crock pot, which is how I served it for my husband’s office party.

You really can’t go wrong with this recipe. It is perfect for holiday parties, football watching, and anytime you need a chip and dip type recipe.

I tried to add this recipe to my ziplist, but it added the Post Roast with Red Wine instead. I tried it twice.

  2. Thanks. I went to the page and it worked. Thanks for sharing all your great recipes.

  3. I want to make this to take to a friend’s house Sunday. Do you think it would do well in a crock pot? I don’t want to hog her oven since I know it will be in use. 🙂

  4. Made this tonight…yum! What a delicious dip. I will definitely be making it again.

    • Thanks for letting me know. I am so glad that you enjoyed it.

About how many servings does this make? Can this dip be made 1 day ahead and refrigerated until ready to use? It looks delicious . Thanks, Betty

        • I am sorry that I did not get back to you. I took a few days off of online life. Yes it can be made ahead and kept in the refrigerator. If you are serving this as the only appetizer type of food I would say it serves 6-8. If you are using it for more of a finger food type meal or party where there is other food, it serves a lot more. I have taken this to many group parties and it is usually plenty. I hope that helps.
