Have you tried Trader Joe’s gluten free muffins?

My daughter and I recently tried three different flavors of Trader Joe’s gluten free muffins and we are sharing our thoughts with you.

Trader Joe's GF Muffins in packages

I knew Trader Joe’s had gluten free muffins, but I had never tried them. I had actually never noticed them in the store. Trader Joe’s as so many fun things, that I often miss great finds.

When my daughter and I were at Trader Joe’s she decided to get a package of gluten free muffins. I decided that if we were going to get one flavor of gluten free muffins, we might as well get all three so that we could share our thoughts with you.

We love homemade gluten free muffins, but it is always fun to try something new like these.

Our Thoughts On Trader Joe’s Gluten-Free Muffins

Overall, we really enjoyed the muffins. Even my husband and son who do not have to eat gluten free enjoyed them.

The taste and texture were really good. We have tried quite a few gluten free muffins from the store over the last fourteen years and these are some of the best we have tried.

They were not dry at all. They were also not at all crumbly. They had a great texture. They also tasted great.

The Price

All three packages were $5.43 each. So that is $5.43 for four muffins.

That is expensive for muffins, but not a horrible price for gluten-free muffins. Or for any gluten-free bakery product.

Yes, I could make them cheaper at home, but they are a decent price for a gluten-free treat.

Trader Joe's Gluten Free Strawberry Muffins in package

These muffins were the ones my daughter picked up to try. I am guessing they are seasonal, but I am not sure.

We loved these! Well, my son who does not have to eat gluten free didn’t love these, but he is not a huge fan of strawberries, so I didn’t really expect him to enjoy them.

The rest of us loved them. The strawberry flavor was strong enough to taste like strawberries, but not so strong that it overpowered the muffins.

The texture on them was also moist and delicious.

Trader Joe's Gluten Free Chocolate Muffins in package

Trader Joe’s Gluten Free Chocolate Muffins

I love gluten free chocolate muffins. There is a famous gluten free brand that has been around for years, that makes gluten-free chocolate muffins that we often buy when we travel. I even have a copycat gluten free double chocolate muffin recipe that I based on them.

I still preferred my homemade gluten free double chocolate muffins, but I think the Trader Joe’s gluten free double chocolate ones beat out that famous brand we have been eating for years.

Yes, they are that good. They are a little heavier than the other two flavors of Trader Joe’s that we tried, but they are still so good.

Basically, they are like a cupcake or bakery-style chocolate muffin, but they are gluten free.

Trader Joe’s Gluten Free Cinnamon Muffins

The gluten free cinnamon coffee cake muffins were the ones that I wanted to try. I love cinnamon and I love anything that resembles coffee cake, so these when in my shopping cart to try.

I think I liked the strawberry ones a little bit better, but these cinnamon ones were really good too.

If you have to eat gluten free and love cinnamon I think you will enjoy these.

I still prefer my homemade gluten free cinnamon roll muffins better, but the Trader Joe’s ones are great for a quick and easy gluten free treat.

A Note About Trader Joe’s Gluten Free Baked Goods

I have bought and eaten Trader Joe’s gluten free bread, gluten free bagels, and their gluten free English muffins for quite a few years. I have also had many of their other gluten free products.

The only gluten free product that I have had issues with was the gluten-free oats. I have reacted to Trader Joe’s gluten free oats, but besides that, I have been fine.

However, some people avoid some of Trader Joe’s gluten free products because they do not feel that they are safe.

My recommendation is that you do your research to see what is safe for you and your family.

Note: Trader Joe’s has no clue who I am. I am just sharing a few of their products that we enjoyed. This is not a sponsored post. I paid for the items that we bought.
