Egg Substitute

beating eggs

One of the questions I receive the most is about substituting eggs. Many of you have asked what you can use in place of eggs in my recipes and since my family does not have an issue with eggs, I don’t have much experience in baking without eggs.

When I saw a post over at Food Allergy Eats yesterday on five allergy friendly eggs substitutes, I knew I needed to share it with all of you. If you are looking for some options for cooking without eggs be sure to check it out.

Wow. We aren’t allergic to eggs either. But, I may try this to reduce our cholesterol intake.

I just wanted to add something to the article. Egg substitutes will only work when subbing up to two eggs. After that, it doesn’t work well.

My favorite egg subs are the applesauce and one that’s not mentioned ( 1 1/2T water + 1 1/2T oil = 1 tsp. baking powder whisked together).
