Mexican Tomato Soup

I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving weekend. Ours was a quiet one because four out of the five of us had colds. It wasn’t a bad sickness, but it was still sickness. Our weekend involved lots of reading, game playing, and movie watching as we recovered from colds.

There was also come hunting mixed in for those that were up to it. Anyone else have to mix hunting into Thanksgiving? After years of it, I have just given up. I realize that the weekend of Thanksgiving is made a little crazier because of hunting. The meat is nice though, so I really can’t complain.

Here is this week’s menu plan. As normal I am keeping it pretty simple.

Head colds have hit our house now. We made it through Thanksgiving before it really hit. Hunting will start tomorrow for my guys. My son got his doe during archery and will try for his buck in rifle. My husband still has to get both. I like having the meat also. I prefer it canned over frozen. I was able to can 13 quarts from the doe. Hopefully both my guys will feel good enough too go hunting tomorrow!
Thank you for your wonderful recipes! I really enjoy receiving them and reading what’s happening in your world!
