I have mentioned many times how much I love Taste Of Home. They helped teach me how to cook when I was first married and I will be forever grateful to my friend who gave me a Taste Of Home magazine subscription as a wedding gift.
I have subscribed to Taste Of Home or one of their sister publications for years. I love their magazines and cookbooks. In fact I own quite a few of their cookbooks.
Right now Taste Of Home is having a $5 Cookbook Sale.Yes, $5 for cookbooks!! If you love Taste Of Home this is the perfect time to get some great cookbooks for a great price. It is also a great time to stock up on Christmas gifts. I know I will be buying a few to give as gifts.
Not only are the cookbooks $5, there is also a free shipping offer on orders over $20.
The $5 Book Sale is now through November 7th. Supplies Limited! For additional savings use code: LST88 for free shipping on orders over $20!
And if you are gluten free or know someone that is, one of the books on sale is Cooking For Isaiah, which is a gluten free cookbook that I have. I paid way more than $5, so that is a really good deal. It would make a perfect gift for someone that is gluten free!
Note: A reader just brought to my attention that at least one of the books, which is the Handyman Book, although not a cookbook it was still included in the sale, has a note that it was signing you up for free previews of other books. None of the cookbooks I ordered or saw had this as a condition, but as always on an offer like this sale, please read the the notes and fine print so that you know what you are getting.

Hi Lynn,
Thanks for the headsup on the T of home cookbook sale. I also came to love the magazines and books of Reiman publishers when i first got married. I would like to buy a few books for my daughter who is soon to be married. Since your an avid fan maybe more then i could u recommend a couple of your favorite if possible that would be a great start for her?
any suggestions would be helpful. thanks
Lynn
I like the Taste of Home and the Country Annual Cookbooks. It looks like they have several of those at the $5 price. I have many of the years and love them. I also have a couple of their slow cooking cookbooks and have used those quite a bit. Their holiday books are also great, I ordered some of the holiday ones today to give as gifts. I also look at the reg price to get the nicer cookbooks. If you look at the reg. price some are listed as 24.99 and are on salt for $5. Others are reg. priced at like 7.99 and on sale for $5. The higher the original price is, usually means it is a bigger, nicer book and a better deal for $5. Not that any of them would not be good for $5, but that is part of what I looked at today when I bought some for gift. 🙂 I hope that helps.

Woot! I ordered these last year for Christmas gifts and I’m going to do it again this year……except I’ll use your affiliate links this time. 🙂
Lynn
Thanks!
Wendy
Just placed my order! Thanks for the heads up – usually the free shipping isn’t applicable to Canadian orders, but this year it was – I just had to pay the “out of country” additional charge of $10 for the order. Great deal! I bought:
1. Fast Fixes with Mixes
2. Everyday Slow Cooker & One Dish Recipes 2010
3. Healthy Cooking Annual Recipes 2010
4. 2009 Healthy Cooking Annual Recipes
5. Best Church Supper Recipes
Lynn
I am glad that you were able to get them shipped to you. I got a couple slow cooker ones to give as gifts. They looked great. I also got a few of the annual books they had. And I almost bought the Church Recipes one because it looked like a good one as well. There were too many choices, I had trouble deciding. 🙂 I hope you enjoy the ones you got.

Before I order, I wanted to check with you. I’m a little concerned about this comment that’s under each cookbook:
Additional Annual Benefits: By ordering The Family Handyman Home Improvement 2010 now for $5.00, you’ll qualify for FREE previews of future editions (no more than two per year). You’ll always first receive a letter from us, describing the book. If you like the sound of it, do nothing. We’ll send the book automatically for a FREE preview, with the option to buy it at our low preferred customer price, plus shipping and handling. If you don’t want to receive the book, write “no thank you” on our letter and return it to us. In that case, we won’t send you that book, but will inform you when the next edition is available. You’ll always have at least 20 days to decide. If you ever receive an unwanted edition, return it at our expense and you may cancel at any time by contacting us. You’re never obligated to buy anything.
I worry a bit about forgetting to send that letter back in and then having to fiddle with mailing a book back? I did this same deal last year, but I don’t remember seeing this – and I never got any additional books (and I never returned any letters). Thoughts? I wanted to check before I ordered.

I just went back and checked and none of the cookbooks I ordered had that note on them, but I looked at that handyman one and you are right that one has that note added. I usually avoid offers like that, because I am like you and don’t want to forget to do that extra step so that I do not get more of them. So, I would just be careful to read the notes on the books you order so that you know what you are getting into.

You’re right! It was only on the ones that I had chosen. 🙂 Guess I’ll go back and look through them all to pick the ones without that “addition.” Thanks Lynn.

I just added a note to the post for other readers to watch for that on some of the books. Thanks for mentioning it.
