Peanut Butter Pancake Syrup

by Lynn

By now most of you probably know that my husband and family loves peanut butter. We love it in peanut butter pie and also in peanut butter baked oatmeal, but one of my kids favorite ways to eat peanut butter is on pancakes and waffles.

When I came across this recipe for peanut butter pancake syrup in an old quick cooking magazine, I knew my family would love it, and they did.

This is a quick and easy way to make your pancakes or waffles a little different.

I used real maple syrup for this, but I think you could easily use the regular type of pancake syrup that you buy in the store.

What a simple and delicious idea. That would be so good over a chocolate dessert waffle or chocolate chip pancakes!

My favorite way to eat pancakes is with PB! Now that I’m older I enjoy syrup on occasion too, though as a child wouldn’t touch it with a ten foot pole. I’m going to have to try this combination. Thanks!

So why haven’t I ever thought of this before? It’s too ingenious. Seriously. Amazing.

I used to love peanut butter toast—a family favorite—so why not peanut butter syrup? I’m definitely game. ;-) Yum.

Thanks, Lynn!

My kids love putting peanut butter on their pancakes in place of butter, and still using syrup. Never had I thought to make a peanut butter syrup!

Stumbled!

I bet this would really be good over nutty pancakes:) I will have to give that a try. I took a little mini-vacation this week with Hubby, but Crock Pot Wednesday will be back up this coming week. I hope you will join me.
