Cauliflower Cheese Bake

I love cauliflower, but the rest of my family has mixed feelings about it. I recently realized that this may be partly due to how I usually cook it.

The easiest, and probably healthiest, way to serve cauliflower is either raw or steamed, and those are the two ways I usually fix it.

As good as raw and steamed are, they are a bit boring. So, in my effort to make my vegetables less boring, I have been experimenting with some vegetable side dishes.

I have roasted my cauliflower, but I am trying to find even more ways that will be interesting and appealing to my kids.

I recently saw a recipe for cauliflower in an old Taste of Home magazine and decided to adapt it a bit and give it a try.

My family loved it. This was so easy and so good. And because it was covered in cheese, my kids loved it.

What is your favorite way to make vegetables more interesting and appealing to your kids?

  1. Wow, that’s a simple recipe and the dish looks tasty. I will definitely give it a try. :-)

  2. I’m in the same boat. I like cauliflower, but my husband’s not crazy about it. I will definitely give this one a try..maybe tonight!

  3. Our family loves cauliflower also. I have roasted it with salt, pepper, some balsamic vinegar and parmesan cheese, it is wonderful. The other two favorites for our family is melted butter with breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese mixed together and spread over top of the cauliflower after it has been baked. The last is a butter, lemon juice and some herbs with cauliflower and pea mixture. Thanks for the recipe.

  4. How timely this is. I have a head of cauliflower from my TSA and wondering what to do with it. My family loves cheese, so it would be interesting if they will eat it. Thanxs

  5. Delicious!!! I made this to use up some frozen cauliflower and I loved it the way it was flavorful and just as good as fresh cauliflower. Thanks!
