Homemade Raspberry Lemonade {My New Favorite Summertime Drink}

I made raspberry lemonade recently when we had friends over for dinner and I think it was the hit of the party.

I made regular homemade lemonade and one pitcher of homemade raspberry lemonade. Well, I should have made more raspberry lemonade because it was gone in no time.

I have never made homemade lemonade until recently and I can not believe I waited so long to try it. It is so easy and so good. It will be hard to go back to lemonade from the store after tasting the real thing. This will definitely be a treat I make again this summer.

Have any of you made homemade lemonade or homemade raspberry lemonade before?

(And please imagine a beautiful glass of raspberry lemonade here. The only picture I got of the lemonade was the above picture of it next to the food on the table. It is hard to play food blogger/photographer when you have a house full of company.)

  1. What do you have on the tray there, is it pudding?

  2. That sounds refreshing~
    Try using Club Soda instead of water. It takes it up a notch and tastes like the street fair shaken lemonade.

    By the way, are those Pampered Chef pitchers? I am consultant – I am spot those products anywhere- Great choice!!

  3. What type of sugar did you use? I use cane sugar typically, so would that be ok?

  4. Hi Lynn…sounds great, about how many lemons did you need to get 1 cup of juice?

    I just had a Pampered Chef party at my house. We made a raspberry yogurt/lemon juice combination for one of our trifle layers and it was a huge hit to combine with the layers of berries, angel food cake, and whipped cream. The flavor combination of raspberry and lemon was what made the trifle stand out.

    This is also great with strawberries instead of raspberries. My freezer went out a couple of years ago and I was trying to use up several quarts of frozen strawberries very quickly. Out of desperation, I threw some into lemonade and it was an instant hit with the kids. Now, we pick and freeze extra strawberries just for lemonade!

  7. This recipe sounds yummy, but I’m too lazy to cook lemonade. We have a wonderful lemon tree (sorry, I don’t know what type of lemon). My lemonade recipe is 1 c. fresh squeezed lemon juice, 4 c. water, and 3/4 c. sugar. Put it all together, stir well to dissolve the sugar, and serve over ice. This makes a fairly strong tasting lemonade, depending on the “lemoniness” of the lemons. I’ve made this for years and never thought to add the berries. I’ll definitely try that!

  8. Just made this for 4th of July BBQ. It was delicious. It took about 7 lemons to make a cup for me. I probably won’t make this often because it is a fair amount of work for a small amount of drink but it tasted divine!

    This looks so good. I use Minute Made frozen lemon juice when I make lemonade it is so much easier and it’s all real juice. You find it with the frozen concentrated juice.
